We stayed here for two nights and chose a room in the main house. You can either stay in the garden wing or the main house and both are great choices. We stayed in the Lord Antrim Suite which overlooked the government buildings and had a stunning marble bathroom, fireplace, and the most comfortable beds.
Finally, we were able to experience the creative art tea they offer during the fall. ‘Art Tea’ at The Merrion is the most lavish afternoon tea in Dublin. Treat yourself to a slice of 19th- or 20th-century art served on fine china with miniature sweet creations inspired by the work of J.B Yeats, William Scott, Louis Le Brocquy, and others. Situated in the cozy Drawing Room plan to spend two hours indulging in delicious food and drinks. Art Tea is served at 12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:00 pm daily, and is best to be booked in advance.
